A Bachelor of Arts in Classics focuses on the languages, literature, history, art, religion and intellectual life of ancient Greece and Rome—two cultures considered for their formative role at the beginnings of Western civilization and their continued influence on modern society.
Students may specialize in Classical Studies, Greek language and literature or Latin language and literature.

Students may specialize in Classical Studies, Greek language and literature or Latin language and literature. The scope of Classical studies is broad, offering students courses in History, Literature, Anthropology, Philosophy, Politics, Linguistics, Art History and Religion.
Students who major in classics have the flexibility and transferable research, writing and critical-thinking skills to take up careers in many different fields, either directly or after further study. Graduates of the classics program have pursued careers in:
