This London Metropolitan University degree will prepare students to meet the growing demand for analytical expertise as they learn to tackle the problems encountered in forensic science. They’ll gain a solid foundation in general subjects that underpin forensic science including chemistry, molecular and cell biology, and genetics.
Students will carry out a range of biological, chemical and criminalistic procedures in a safe, competent and reliable way, and get the chance to put their skills to the test with hands-on laboratory sessions taught in London Met's £30 million Science Centre. They’ll find themselves interpreting blood patterns, processing crime scenes, identifying firearms and tracing evidence.
The normal lectures will be supported by guest lectures led by specialist practitioners from a variety of forensic science disciplines. Not only will students gain valuable insight into today’s industry, they’ll also have the opportunity to network with potential employers, colleagues and mentors.
An International Bright Futures Scholarship in the amount of £3,000 will automatically be applied to eligible students with overseas fee status starting a degree with London Met in the 2024/25 academic year. This scholarship includes a tuition fee reduction for the duration of students' studies and is applicable to both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
Tuition Deposit is £4,000 for all students excluding those from Punjab and Haryana for whom the deposit amount will remain at 50%
