This degree course offers a multifaceted design-based education that, on successful completion, provides exemption from RIBA 1 – the first stage of a professional qualification in architecture. Typically, graduates go on to RIBA Part 2 and 3 at London Metropolitan University.
London Met's course is centred on three key themes: the idea and practice of making, an architect’s professional duty of care, and social and environmental responsibility.
Students will take classes in the well-resourced design studios, where they’ll have the chance to work with high-end analogue and digital printing facilities. Students will also get access to the textile, ceramic, furniture-making and photography workshops.
London Met complements formal teaching and field work with practical design exploration. The staff is made up of renowned practitioners who bring a wealth of technical expertise to the table and who provide insight into industry best practices within a constantly evolving arena.
An International Bright Futures Scholarship in the amount of £3,000 will automatically be applied to eligible students with overseas fee status starting a degree with London Met in the 2024/25 academic year. This scholarship includes a tuition fee reduction for the duration of students' studies and is applicable to both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
Tuition Deposit is £4,000 for all students excluding those from Punjab and Haryana for whom the deposit amount will remain at 50%
